Community Energy Develops Largest Solar Plant in Pennsylvania and Deploys with Canadian Solar MaxPower.

The largest solar project in Pennsylvania, a 5 MW solar plant developed by Community Energy Solar is now actively producing clean solar energy for Exelon Generation, which serves the southeastern region of the state. Producing enough energy to power 950 homes, the utility-scale solar project was installed by groSolar, using Canadian Solar MaxPower monocrystalline and polycrystalline modules. The robust solution delivers high-yield and reliable performance, as well as cost and environmental benefits.

Known for their commitment to meeting customers’ needs, Community Energy worked closely with the agricultural community of Lancaster county, listening to their concerns and creating a plan that reflected the core values of the community. An example of that effort was the selection of a post racking system that did away with the need for concrete anchors. This attention to detail honored community values by preserving the land for future agricultural use.

"When working on challenging projects, we know we can depend on Canadian Solar as a partner. They are a trusted supplier that we have successfully worked with on many projects and we look forward to collaborating with them on many more in the future," said Jamie Resor, CEO of groSolar.
