Canadian Solar CS6P-P Modules Produce Clean Solar Energy in Slovenia.

Clean energy is being fed into the local power grid via a new 1 MW rooftop PV system of Canadian Solar’s top-quality CS6P-P modules, in Maribor, Slovenia. The design, permit, acquisition, material purchasing and development was carried out by Solcell Ltd., a leading installer with a strong portfolio of small to mid-sized rooftop PV projects.

Protecting the rooftop, which was leased to the project investor by a textile company, was a key priority for Solcell. As such, the understructure was customized and equipped with a watertight system to avoid any damage to the roof. The project, including the installation of over 4,000 modules, was completed in only 3 short months and connected to the grid in June 2012.

"After using Canadian Solar modules in other projects in Slovenia, we are confident in recommending the CS6P-P module to our customersfor rooftop installations. Having a great track-record for high-performance and reliability, project investors also see the value in choosing Canadian Solar over the competition" said Michele Redaelli, Chief Technology Officer of Solcell Ltd.

Producing 1110 kWh of clean energy, the project investor is able to secure a favorable feed-in tariff of 0,26 EUR/kWh for 15 years, allowing a return of investment in as little as 7 years.
